I am pretty sure that you have already heard of the game Angry Birds. And I would not be surprised as well if you have played the game, too. Angry Birds is a cute game developed by Rovio. It is a puzzle game which incorporates physics into it. The player uses a slingshot with a limited variety of birds as the sling’s bullet. The objective is to hit the green pigs residing in rickety structures using your bullets, which are the birds. You do this by controlling the trajectory of the bullets and crashing the structures to hit the pigs inside it. Once all the pigs have been eliminated, you can proceed to the next level. Take note that as you advance in levels, the difficulty of the game increases. At the same time, you get to use different birds with different abilities. It is a fun game and with practice you can finish the game in no time.

But before it became a hit, do you have any idea of how the game originated? I am sure you are eager to learn more about your favorite game. Rovio has long been developing games but was not able to break through the market until around the year 2009. The idea started with sketches of wingless birds with angry faces. These sketches eventually caught the attention of the developers and eventually made a game about it. The green pigs were later additions in the development stage. The idea of adding green pigs was inspired by the swine flu which was the big news during that period. The game’s origin sounds funny and interesting right?
If you can’t get enough Angry Birds from your iPad or tablet, then try playing it online. Aside from Google Chrome version, you can also play free Angry Birds on your computer. Just go to Free-Games.net Angry Birds and have fun! You can also enjoy other free online games there!
We love playing Backyard Monsters because when it comes to strategy, it is somehow related to Magic: The Gathering. So when we learned that it is under maintenance yesterday, we were disappointed. As usual, you can only play “Attack of the Pokeys” and wouldn’t be able to manage backyards and outposts until they’re done with the upgrade/maintenance.

Collect the mushroom without touching any pokeys!
Just for fun, my boyfriend tried playing “Attack of the Pokeys” and bet that I wouldn’t score 200 or more. I was up for the challenge and gave it a quick try. True enough, it was game over as I reached 195. But he distracted me! Lol.
I just watched him as he finished the game and it seems not challenging at all for him. Haha. He’s a gamer so he can prey upon those damn pokeys easily.

26 more mushrooms to go!
There’s no reward at the end of the game. Crap! You just have to collect all the 200 mushrooms and it’s over. Lol. If you have so much time to waste, then try it.

Finish Line!
I’m self-employed right now and I don’t know how to continue with my SSS (Social Security System) contributions. I also have an active loan and I’d like to check how much I owe them. I remember that I have an online account with SSS so I checked my inbox for my login details.
It’s been 90 days since I last logged in so I was prompted to change my password. After that, I was able to log in using my new password. I checked my SSS contributions and I’m happy to see that it’s updated:

I checked the Loans tab but didn’t see the exact amount and monthly deduction from my payroll there. And sorry to say this, the system is not that user-friendly. Main menus are okay, but I never thought that those little triangles are drop-down menus until my mouse pointer accidentally hovered over them.
On a positive note, the appointment system is impressive in a sense that you’ll get prioritized when you visit the desired branch over walk-in members. I’m referring to the concept itself and not the service because I haven’t tried setting an appointment yet. By using the appointment system, you’ll also be able to select specific service and provide more information about your concern. I just hope that SSS Office are providing quality service because I’ve heard some nasty things about them.
No matter how crappy some offices are, it’s still good to be an SSS member because it entitles you with different claims such as maternity claim, retirement claim, sickness claim and social security disability claim.
If you’re an SSS member and would like to check your contributions and member details online, you may sign up here.
