Craving for Malibu Coke

I’m so happy that my friend (Ice) finally gave me the formula ingredients for my most requested mix! Malibu, I’ll come and get you this weekend!

Malibu Rum - Coconut

Malibu goes well with Coke in 1:2 mix

Per shot glass:

1/3 Malibu Rum

2/3 Coke

Mix it on your own preference. If you want more alcohol, increase the amount of rhum! So far, Malibu Coke is my favorite drink. I’ve discovered it in Baguio. Thanks to Kuya Hai for this wonderful mix! Smells like butterscotch and tastes like honey! Heavenly sweet!

Fancy Gifts in a Basket

As long as you have online access, you won’t run out of gift ideas. In fact, I’m craving for some sweets right now and wish that someone will send me baked goodies. There’s a great gift basket sale online so sending me one won’t cause a dent on your wallet. Here’s my pick:

Akyat Pinatubo Pre-Event Briefing

I said NO to my date just to attend this pre-event briefing at R.O.X (Bonifacio High Street, Taguig) with bestie Rhonz. So as of this writing, I still have to make it up with boyfie especially that I’ll be stealing another Saturday of our weekend this coming June 4.

So, what happened during the pre-event briefing?

Jonel Uy discussing day tour, package inclusions and reminders for the upcoming 'Akyat Pinatubo' Bloggers' Climb

We got to know more about the sponsors, too!

Then prizes, prizes, prizes! Yeah, won 3 times! First, I’ve got a pair of Havaianas for being the second registrant! Being an early bird always pays off, right? Grabbing the image from Impulsive Buyer:

Havs of my size and fav color! Double yippee!

More prizes from two rounds of raffle! Everyone is a WINNER. I was not able to take pics of all the prizes I received but it’s more than an ordinary loot bag. The bloggers and the prizes made our stay really worthwhile, what more during the actual event?

R.O.X. - View from Starbucks

Right after the briefing, Rhonz and I checked some sports items at ROX. Then we headed to Starbucks, The Fort for another soul sister’s bonding moments. We had a great time already at Sbarro before attending this orientation. Thanks Rhonz for the Venti Chocolate Cream Chip Frappe!

Attending events, bonding with friends, shopping, eating pizza and drinking coffee are definitely hearty ways of spelling F-U-N!

I love seafood!

This made my day! I had a great lunch with my sister today. Yum! I love to eat but I don’t know how to cook… she does. Real good. (For she is an HRM graduate, still searching for a job though. If you know one, please let me know. Sorry. Just plugged it. :) )

Alright, back to the FOOD TRIP.

I love seafood. Fact. Every time I go on a date with bf, I always go for the shrimps! It made me dizzy one time. Haha. Not sure if it is a sign of low-blood or high-blood pressure. Bothering, right? Therefore, I must eat in moderation. It is not a fear of gaining weight though, for I am not afraid to gain few pounds.

Whew. So many ramblings. Sorry, it’s been a while since I talk about food in this blog. Now sharing the recipe:

Ingredients:

4 lbs crabs
8 cups coconut milk
1/8 cup cooking oil
4 large cloves garlic, crushed
3 tbs ginger, julienned
3 tbs white onions, minced
3 pcs jalapeno pepper
2 tbs rock salt
spinach leaves (optional)

Procedure:

1. Wash and clean crabs, discard carapace and claws then set aside.
2. Saute garlic in oil until light brown.
3. Add onions then crabs. Stir well until crabs change color.
4. Add coconut milk and jalapeno pepper.
5. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
6. Simmer for 15 minutes.
7. Season with salt.
8. Add spinach and continue simmering for 1 minute.

Shrimps and mussels can be cooked like this in coconut milks as well. We have tried a mix of shrimps and crabs, perfect!
