I love seafood!

This made my day! I had a great lunch with my sister today. Yum! I love to eat but I don’t know how to cook… she does. Real good. (For she is an HRM graduate, still searching for a job though. If you know one, please let me know. Sorry. Just plugged it. :) )

Alright, back to the FOOD TRIP.

I love seafood. Fact. Every time I go on a date with bf, I always go for the shrimps! It made me dizzy one time. Haha. Not sure if it is a sign of low-blood or high-blood pressure. Bothering, right? Therefore, I must eat in moderation. It is not a fear of gaining weight though, for I am not afraid to gain few pounds.

Whew. So many ramblings. Sorry, it’s been a while since I talk about food in this blog. Now sharing the recipe:

Ingredients:

4 lbs crabs
8 cups coconut milk
1/8 cup cooking oil
4 large cloves garlic, crushed
3 tbs ginger, julienned
3 tbs white onions, minced
3 pcs jalapeno pepper
2 tbs rock salt
spinach leaves (optional)

Procedure:

1. Wash and clean crabs, discard carapace and claws then set aside.
2. Saute garlic in oil until light brown.
3. Add onions then crabs. Stir well until crabs change color.
4. Add coconut milk and jalapeno pepper.
5. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
6. Simmer for 15 minutes.
7. Season with salt.
8. Add spinach and continue simmering for 1 minute.

Shrimps and mussels can be cooked like this in coconut milks as well. We have tried a mix of shrimps and crabs, perfect!

Experience China At Super Bowl

Because I missed the luxurious dining at Super Bowl of China with my friends, I dragged my boyfriend to this resto yesterday after buying MTG booster packs. We went home bloated after our lunch date. Yay!

Sorry for the blurred images. I am struggling real hard while taking those photos since my phone battery was about to get empty. And by the time I was able to charge it there, I am already starving and I couldn’t resist the tempting servings on our table!

Easter Date at Asian Twist

Since my Easter greetings is a scheduled post, I was not able to share how my weekend went. I spent it with my boyfriend and we attended the Sunday mass at the Lourdes Church. We had the usual street food trip afterwards. And the not-so buko juice. Hmmm. Haven’t tasted the best ones lately.

We had an early dinner at Asian Twist located at N.S. Amoranto (Retiro) St. Quezon City. I am actually too lazy to blog about this especially that I was not able to take good shots of the resto since I enjoyed being pretty seated on one of the corners. LOL. Nice view. And take note, we’re the only couple inside. Haha! Our moment.

Here’s the downside though. I DON’T eat BEEF. And my boyfriend is not fond of seafoods (especially on what Asian Twist have). Yeah, you guess it right, we have to settle with pork and chicken. Not bad.

I’m to lazy to place captions on the images. As you can see, they’re obviously chicken barbecue and pork liempo. As for the soup, oh, I forgot what it’s called. I was amazed with ampalaya (bitter gourd) achara. Love the twist! Sooo brand new for me since I’m used to papayas as achara.

Random shots! Love the ambiance! Not to mention, GREEN is my favorite color. ^_^

As for this one, I think the security guard intentionally posed there. Haha. I was then talking to my boyfriend about taking a photo of Asian Twist from afar. He said that we have to go to the other side of the road for a more decent view. But I was too lazy and insisted to take the shot no matter what. There, no Asian Twist signage or what-not.

Chicken Curry

This is my boyfriend’s favorite dish but I don’t know how to cook it. He loves the one from North Park and his dad’s own recipe.

Anyone who would like to share their “own” recipes, secret ingredients and the like?

I’ve seen few online but I’d greatly appreciate if someone can help me add some twist to the traditional Chicken Curry cooking style.

One Rice A Day!

Talk about not gaining weight. I am literally eating one rice a day. It’s not that I want to, only that I have no choice. I’d rather sleep than eat. And here’s what I just had from Manang.
