When I hit my first million mark, I started looking for good investments such as real estate properties. I’m already investing in the stock market and I don’t want to place “all of my eggs in one basket” so having other options would really be better. I would like to have my own place here in Manila since I’m originally from Batangas and going back and forth during the weekend or when there is a special event is sometimes time-consuming and tiring. To commute, that is. I’ve been renting a place ever since I started working here, that’s 5 years and still counting. And now that my younger sister is with me while looking for a job, I wish to get a more decent place for me and my family. Something more spacious, private and convenient. Since the cost of living here is way higher than in the province, I can’t buy a house that easy with my limited resources. Even though there are lots of house for sale ads everywhere, the best option would still be rent-to-own properties.

I’m so happy to receive several suggestions about putting up my own business. Since I’m no longer employed, I’m on my own now and there’s no more payday to expect. But I am happy with this setup. With this kind of life. Stress-free! But it does not mean that I have to sit or sleep all-day. I have to maximize my resources until I have my own stable business. I am not interested with jobs in healthcare. Not even with the call center industry anymore.
I am considering lots of things right now. Even if I haven’t started a resto or bakery of my own, I am happy with what I’m earning online.

Just when I thought I can take a plunge to start my own business, I realized the fact that there are more challenges than opportunities. I meet up with the restaurant seller last Tuesday and I learned a lot from him. My boyfriend accompanied me during the meet up and though we came up with the same decision, we still have lots of things to talk about running a resto.
The restaurant rights for sale will cost us P500 000 but it won’t be the only expenses. Rent, employee’s salary, bills, name it… every single centavo will count if you run a business.
Business plan?
I first thought of franchising a Thai resto, but the challenge lies with the strategical location. And now that our eyes are fixed on the restaurant rights near UST, I’m finding it difficult to detach with what I want. I want that place. Everything about it. Everything that I’ve seen during the resto-viewing. But I have to admit, I have limited resources. If only 500K can make the business running, that would be easier. But no… since summer is fast approaching, I don’t want to start with greater risks than expected.
Oh come on. I said to myself that I will invest 150 000 for franchising and seems that I’m going overboard. 
In fact, it all started with the idea of P21 ooo food cart franchise. Level up!
Now, let me ask you this question: If you have 500, 000 pesos for capital, what business will you put up and why?
