Best Japanese Movie: My Rainy Days

I thought A Moment To Remember will remain number one on my list. But after watching My Rainy Days, everything has changed. I fell in love with Nozomi Sasaki and that movie is now my favorite. Best favorite, to be exact. Haha.

Oh gosh, I was uber kilig and blushing while watching. It’s one of the sweetest things a guy could do! Haha. I really really love the way it happens. Yeah, it just happens. Watch it and you’ll get what I mean.

Study time, not play time!

Unlike the romance movies I’ve watched before, My Rainy Days is an all-in-one chick flick that’s worth countless replays! Oh yeah, I can’t get over this film! It features not only love but also friendship, family virtues, work passion and other challenges. A slice of life in some sort.

Love is definitely the great catalyst of all times. Because of her feelings toward Kouki (Shosuke Tanihara), Rio leaves her own self behind. But she’s still the pushy, aggressive yet delicate type that Kouki learned to love. Kouki in turn becomes less anti-social and start having hope because of Rio. You see, even the simple mistakes are meant to take place. If not with the wrong photos sent to them, those two won’t meet that fateful rainy day… Err, in fact they had their unofficial encounters when Rio was 14 (at the hospital) and 17(at the bar).

I really enjoyed this simple yet moving story. How will you treasure the sweet memories that are about to fade? How will you keep loving someone who is about to forget everything including you? Such a torture, right? Rio is brave enough to start all over again. Her rainy days are not all about tears rolling down her cheeks but also having Kouki back in her arms.

Each presenter were given ample time to show off their accomplishments and enlighten us on what lies ahead. Because I am not an executive yet, I just find those financial statements, figures and graphical representations pretty boring. In fact, too much information made me snooze a bit. Thanks to my sister who was sitting beside me, one nudge and I’m yawning. Ok, to be honest, I was able to comprehend their flash presentation because of my high IQ but I won’t be able to relay them to you in the same technical terms. So to sum it up, the above-mention companies are the top picks for investment as we hit the bull market this 2011!

And when Nicol David started to talk, I listened attentively. It must be the accent. I don’t mean to be bias but he sounded like a Scottish without any language barrier. Because his voice was so pleasant to my ears, I stayed awake during his presentation.

Dr. Victor Limlingan must be something. If Nicol David kept me awake because of this seductive personality, this witty old man kept the audience alive by joking around and giving unnecessary yet funny side comments. At the start of his speech, he said that he just wanted to highlight 2 points. First is to show that hey have outperformed the market, second is to persuade all of us that they will continue to outperform the market.

Some of DMCI and Semirara’s strategic advantages are:
- positioned in high growth sectors
- operating with unique competitive advantages (engineering expertise)
- balanced portfolio
- synergy in business operation

It’s very remarkable when the crowd laughed with him as he pointed Maynilad as an example of public utility. He said that it’s not sexy but everyone wants it because everybody needs water. Lol. Next is when he said that MERALCO gets the energy supply from them so that we can have electricity yet all of the complaints are directed to Meralco alone! Haha. Makes sense. He also said that in terms of infrastructures such as highways/skyways, what they’re facing the most are political issues, wherein there are lots of paper works concerning mayors, governors and other officials.

Invest Now, Be A Multimillionaire in the Next 10-20 Years

I bought a lottery ticket last night at around 7:59PM because the jackpot prize was around Php 272,438,161.20 (roughly $6 486 622.89). Unfortunately, I did not win. But I am not sad nor discouraged right now for I know that even if I can’t be an instant millionaire, I can still accumulate greater wealth in the near future.

What I will share you here is no longer a secret. You might have already heard it from Colayco, Bo Sanchez, professional brokers or other investors. I am not an expert in the field of personal finance management but I’m glad that I have inspired my colleagues by sharing the information that I have learned from a series of seminar, online research and own practice. Having said this, I believe that everyone can retire as a multimillionaire. Invest in the stock market, mutual funds, gold coins or silver bars and you’ll be on the right track.

Invest, and watch your money grow!

Investing in the stock market does not employ the get-rich-quickly scheme. And even if Forex software out there are claiming this feature, I doubt it. I am not skeptical in nature, logical instead. Acquiring riches require both spiritual and financial guidance. Wishing to be a multimillionaire someday is a realistic goal. I, myself believe that I can achieve it within the next to 10-15 years. You see, I am not in a hurry. I want to earn more in order to give out more. That’s love.
