I’ve been a Batangas Provincial Scholar for 3 years, the first two under Hermilando “Dodo” Mandanas terms and the last one with Arman Sanchez. Though I know that the funds were not directly coming from their pockets, this is one of the valid reasons why I voted Arman Sanchez instead of Vilma Santos. I don’t know, but for some reason, seeing someone face to face and having the chance to shake hands with with a real person makes a difference. Arman’s death last April 27, 2010 did not stop the Batangueños from supporting his platforms through his wife Edna Sanchez who replaced him on the gubernatorial race.
If Arman Sanchez is still alive, will we get the same election result? (See pie-graph below)

I feel for those Sanchez’ supporters, but that’s the most I can do. I am not Vilma Santos Recto’s critic, I just prefer the former for this position.

A lot of my friends are politically apathetic. So it’s nice to find people who actually supports a candidate that he or she believes in.
